NFL Mock Draft

1. Indianapolis Colts: Andrew Luck QB Stanford
This is about as big of a guarantee that you can get in the draft. Don't listen to any rumor that RG3 could be challenging for this pick. It's not true.

2. Washington Redskins: Robert Griffin QB Baylor
Both the Redskins and Rams are winners here. St. Louis gets two additional 1st and a 2nd this year, while the Redskins get their franchise QB. Griffin fits what Shannahan wants out of his QBs and should see the field early.

3. Minnesota Vikings: Matt Kalil OT USC
The Vikings might be the team that benefits the most from the RG3 trade. LT is a huge need for them and now they can have Kalil fall to them. Kalil is the best LT prospect to come out since Jake Long.

4. Cleveland Browns: Morris Claiborne CB LSU
Cleveland is in a good spot here because they would have their choice of three prospects that could really help them. Look for them go with Claiborne though. Holmgren has a history of taking DBs in the 1st round. They already have Haden, but Claiborne would give them two shut down corners. The NFL is a passing league and CBs value is skyrocketing.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Trent Richardson RB Alabama
HC Greg Schiano comes from a Rutgers program where he liked to have a dominant run game. If that is the case they could get Richardson (along with LaGarrette Blount) to take some of the pressure off of Josh Freeman and their passing attack.

6. St. Louis Rams: Justin Blackmon WR Oklahoma State
If the Rams can land Blackmon here they would be estatic. Getting Sam Bradford a legit #1 is a must. I'm not understanding why some are hating on Blackmon. He has good speed, is strong, and has some of the best body control since Larry Fitzgerrald. This would be a slam dunk for them.

7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Melvin Ingram DE South Carolina
Jacksonville needs pass rushing help, but they are unlikely to add anybody in free agency. But they are in a good spot here to land their choice of the top ends. Coples is considered to be the top target, but Jacksonville management is rumored to be turned off by his inconsistent motor and could go with the equally impressive Ingram.

8. Miami Dolphins: Ryan Tannehill QB Texas A&M
Not a fan of Tannehill in the first round at all. He should be considered a 3rd round IMO. But we are in the age of overvaluing QBs. So he'll be a first round pick and because Miami lost on all the QBs during free agency they'll likely take him here. At least he'll be reunited with his former college coach Mike Sherman who is now the OC here.

9. Carolina Panthers: Dontari Poe DT Memphis
Even though Poe has the size most teams like out of 3-4 NTs, Poe's best fit will be in a 4-3 defense where his explosion will allow him to collapse the pocket. Carolina isn't very strong at DT and could really use a dominant tackle to go with their solid DEs.

10. Buffalo Bills: Riley Reiff OT Iowa
Buffalo normally telegraphs their picks, but with them signing Mario Williams and Mark Anderson their biggest need is filled. The focus should be towards the offensive line where they still haven't resigned Demetrius Bell. They have to protect Ryan Fitzpatrick and Reiff would be a great solution.

11. Kansas City Chiefs: Luke Kuechly LB Boston College
Kansas City has to hope that Dontari Poe falls to them here because NT is their biggest weakness on defense. But instead they'll have to go value and take Kuechly. Kuechly would be an excellent fit inside next to Derrick Johnson and give the Cheifs two stud ILBers. Just look at the 49ers with Patrick Willis and Navarro Bowman.

12. Seattle Seahawks: Quentin Coples DE North Carolina
Seattle was on of the teams that was very interested in Mario Williams. They need somebody to can provide a pass rushing pressence, especially at the RDE spot. Coples isn't Mario Williams, but he has the physical tools to be dominant. However his inconsistences could cause him to fall here.

13. Arizona Cardinals: David DeCastro G Stanford
It looks like the Cardinals will look at offensive line with this pick and have two Stanford players to choose from. They could go Martin because he has the potential to be a LT. But DeCastro is a much much better prospect and also fits a huge need at G.

14. Dallas Cowboys: Cordy Glenn G Georgia
Before last year the Cowboys hadn't taken an offensive lineman in the first round for years. But they took Tyron Smith last year and are looking at guards for this year. David Decastro would be the ideal target, but he is gone here. But the Cowboys are also big on Glenn who played LT in college, but should thrive moving inside to G.

15. Philadelphia Eagles: Michael Brockers DT LSU
Kuechly has been projected to the Eagles for a long time, but with the trade they made for DeMeco Ryans he is no longer a need. Plus he's gone at this point. The Eagles have been rumored to be looking at DTs here and Brockers makes sense. He has the size of a 4-3 NT, but the atheltic ability of some DEs. He should thrive in their Wide 9 defense.

16. New York Jets: Michael Floyd WR Notre Dame
The Jets thought that they had improved their receiving core by adding Derek Mason and Plaxico Burres instead of Braylon Edwards and Jericho Cotchery. Instead the position became a weakness and it made Mark Sanchez look worse. Burres likely won't be back, so they have to find somebody opposite of Santonio Holmes. Floyd would give them that big physical receiver who can go up and get the ball, something that Burres didn't do.

17. Cincinnati Bengals: Dre Kirkpatrick CB Alabama
After a strong pro day, Kirkpatrick could be going higher than here. However the Bengals would love to add the big physical corner. With the loss of Jonathan Joseph and then the injury to Leon Hall the Bengals are very thin at CB.

18. San Diego Chargers: Jonathan Martin OT Stanford
With the retirement of Chris Dielman the Chargers have a huge hole at guard. They'd love to get David DeCastro or Cordy Glenn, but they are both gone. Another solution might be Jonathan Martin. Martin played LT for Stanford but might be a RT in the NFL. San Diego could take him and put him at guard right away with the thought of him being their eventual LT when Gaither leaves.

19. Chicago Bears: Kendall Wright WR Baylor
I've scoffed at the notion of Kendall Wright to the Bears. However it makes a lot more sense now. They traded for Brandon Marshall, but they need sombody opposite of him. Johnny Knox was thought to be the guy, but it looks like he'll miss all of 2012. Wright would be an upgraded version of Knox and give the Bears a talented deep threat that Cutler hasn't had there.

20. Tennessee Titans: Fletcher Cox DT Mississippi State
They filled a big need at DE by signing Kameron Wimbley, but still have a hole at DT. Tennesse still hasn't filled the void that Albert Haynesworth left when he left a couple of years ago. Fletcher Cox is versitle DT who can rush the passer, play two gaps, and stop the run.

21. Cincinnati Bengals: Mark Barron S Alabama
The Bengals have two picks in Round 1 and can fill two huge holes in their secondary. Resigning Reggie Nelson was big for them because he locks down the FS spot. However the SS position is in flux. Barron is NFL ready and has the potential to be a playmaker. A combination of Nelson and Barron would give the Bengals one heck of a safety duo.

22. Cleveland Browns: Stephen Hill WR Georgia Tech
Justin Blackmon is a serious candidate for them at #4 and if they don't go there they could take somebody here. They could really use a deep threat to complement Greg Little. Hill has done a great job of showcasing his ability that we couldn't see while he was at Georgia Tech

23. Detroit Lions: Mike Adams OT Ohio State
Projecting who Detroit will take is always a gamble. They go Best Player Available, but here that isn't so clear because the top players play positions of strength or have big character issues. I have a feeling Adams could be their choice. He has LT potential and the Lions need offensive line help bad. Plus the value is there.

24. Pittsburgh Steelers: Dont'a Hightower LB Alabama
Dont'a Hightower is a very logical pick for the Steelers here. They recently cut long time starter James Farrior and could use some help at the ILB spot. Hightower is a down hill run stuffer who is a good blitzer. His exerience playing in Nick Saban's 3-4 should allow him an easy transition.

25. Denver Broncos: Jerel Worthy DT Michigan State
Lost in all of Tebowmania is that the Broncos defense was very good last year. They were able to keep the score down and allow Tebow to make the comebacks. But they still have holes that need to be addressed. Mainly DT where they lost starter Brodrick Bunkley. Jerel Worthy would be a good fit. He has massive size, but the quickness to be a 3 technique.

26. Houston Texans: Courtney Upshaw LB Alabama
I would be willing to bet that Courtney Upshaw goes higher than this. Reports that his stock has fallin, but he is a very talented pass rusher. However his only fit is in the 3-4 and with not many 3-4 teams in the middle of the draft he could slide. The Texans would love to see him here to help replace Mario Williams.

27. New England Patriots: Devon Still DT Penn State
Will this be the year the Pats actually take a 5 tech DE? Who knows with the Pats, but Still is a great fit here. Still would be a beast in a 3-4. He has everything you want. Size, strength, ability to play 2 gaps. Pluse he can also succeed in a 4-3 so he'll be fine when the Pats switch back and forth.

28. Green Bay Packers: Janoris Jenkins CB North Alabama
This seems like a crazy pick, but it makes sense. The Packers have some question marks about their secondary and are looking for improvement. Jenkins has top 10 type talent, but a ton of off the field problems. But the Packers are a verteran group and could keep Jenkins in line.

29. Baltimore Ravens: Peter Konz C Wisconsin
With Matt Birk nearing retirement the Ravens will be looking to find his eventual replacement. Konz is a big physical blocker who fits into the Ravens run oriented attack. Add in that Konz has the ability to play guard also and that only adds to his value.

30. San Francisco 49ers: Coby Fleener TE Stanford
We all know that Jim Harbuagh loves to use TEs. He has one of the best in Veron Davis and another in versitle Delanie Walker. However that won't stop him from adding more. Coby Fleener is a complete package. He blocks well and is a threat in the passing game. With Harbaugh using so many 2 TE sets he'll be able to utilize all of them.

31. New England Patriots: Alfonzo Dennard CB Nebraska
Dennard's stock has fallin since the end of the season. However he is still a good value in this category, especially to the right team. The Patriots would be one of those teams. They love to play a man/zone combo scheme and that really fits Dennard who is at his best when making plays in front of him.

32. New York Giants: David Wilson RB Virginia Tech
With the recent release of Brandon Jacobs the Giants will be looking for another back to pair up with Ahmad Bradshaw. Wilson is the 2nd best back in the draft and has the speed to break off the home run and the agility to make defenders miss.

Mock Draft (4th Edition)

1. Indianapolis Colts: Andrew Luck QB Stanford
At this point I really don't know what to say about this pick. We all know that no matter who gets the first pick, they are going to take Luck. Indianapolis has long been the favorite, but their current two game winning streak and possible 3rd win could ruin their chances.



2. St. Louis Rams: Matt Kalil OT USC
The protection Sam Bradford got this year was one of the biggest reasons the Rams struggled. Rodger Saffold doesn't look like the long term LT. Luckily Kalil is an elite LT prospect and the best to come along since Jake Long.

3. Minnesota Vikings: Morris Claiborne CB LSU
Justin Blackmon seems like a very logical pick here, but don't be surprised if they go another direction. WRs are easier to find in later rounds but elite shut down corners aren't easy to find in later rounds. Even before Chris Cook had his domestic abuse charges, the Vikings have struggled in the secondary. Claiborne would drastically help this defense.

4. Jacksonville Jaguars: Justin Blackmon WR Oklahoma State
I will be completely shocked if the Jaguars pass on Blackmon here. Blaine Gabbert looked horrible in his rookie season, but he also was thrust into the lineup when he wasn't ready and had no receivers to throw to. Blackmon is an #1 caliber receiver and a big time play maker.

5. Cleveland Browns: Robert Griffin QB Baylor
This pick is really a tough one. They could go with Trent Richardson, but there are a lot of good running backs that will be available in the 2nd round and QB Colt McCoy hasn't really won over the organization. Robert Griffin has really developed his skills to make him a very desirable prospect. He can come in and challenge McCoy for playing time and help jump start this offense.

6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Dre Kirkpatrick CB Alabama
I don't know if I like Kirkpatrick this high. But if any team is going to take him here the Bucs are the best fit. Kirkpatrick should thrive in the Bucs Tampa 2 defense. Kirkpatrick is a big physical cornerback that loves to jam receivers at the line and will thrive in a zone system instead of one that requires him to play a lot of man to man.

7. Washington Redskins: Landry Jones QB Oklahoma
Jones may or may not enter the draft. If I had to put money on it I'd say he returns. His stock isn't that high and he could use another year at Oklahoma to rejuvinate his stock and challenge Matt Barkley for the #1 overall pick. But if he comes out he could still win over teams with personal workouts and the combine. He has every skill you need to be a franchise QB. Here Washington would take them because they have to upgrade at a position where they have started Rex Grossman and John Beck.

8. Miami Dolphins: Riley Reiff OT Iowa
Despite the play of Matt Moore, the Dolphins need to have a QB of the future. However with their recent success and Matt Barkley returning, they are unlikely to get one of the top guys. They'll have to address another spot. OT could be it. Jake Long tore his bicep and might not be ready to start training camp next year. But even if he is there they need somebody at RT where Marc Columbo has been awful. Reiff has really enjoyed a good season and has taken over the #2 OT spot ahead of Jonathan Martin.

9. Carolina Panthers: Quinton Coples DE North Carolina
Defensive end really isn't a huge need because Charles Johnson and Greg Hardy have played well. However Coples is the Best Player Available and adding him with those two is only going to make this pass rush better. Coples can challenge Hardy at one spot and Coples would likely take over. But Coples does have experience rushing at the DT spot and in passing situations he could slide in to get all three in at the same time.

10. Kansas City Chiefs: Jonathan Martin OT Stanford
Injuries really derailed the Chiefs season this year and prevented them from getting back to the playoffs. However they are in a position to get a player that can really help out. Brandon Albert continues to start at LT, but he clearly is better suited to be a RT or G. Getting Jonathan Martin would allow Albert to switch spots and help out a very thin line. Martin also fits very well because the Chiefs are a running team and Martin has been one of the big reason that Stanford has been so successful running.

11. Buffalo Bills: Courtney Upshaw LB Alabama
Buffalo was poised for a very good season, but injuries really took their toll and losses started to add up. One of the biggest reasons that Buffalo struggled was due to a lack of a pass rush. They really don't have anybody to is considered a good pass rusher. Adding Upshaw would be a great way to remedy that. Upshaw has been a force for Alabama and his experience in the 3-4 will allow him to see the field immediately.

12. Arizona Cardinals: David DeCastro G Stanford
They would love to get a hold of either Riley Reiff or Jonathan Martin, but with both gone they'll have to look in another direction. But they don't have to go away from the offensive line. 12 might be a little high for a guard, but DeCastro has really shot up the draft boards and interior lineman have really been valued a lot higher lately. DeCastro is an elite run blocking prospect and should fit in nicely with HC Ken Wisenhunt's plan of transitioning the Cardinals to a power running team.

13. Philadelphia Eagles: Luke Keachly LB Boston College
One of the biggest reason the Eagles defense struggled this year was the play of their linebackers. Jamar Chaney played well last year at MLB, but they want him to be their WLB. But Casey Matthews really struggled inside and Chaney had to be moved back. Adding the tackling machine Lucke Keachly would really help out and allow Chaney to move to WLB. Keachly is a good fit because he runs well and can blitz which the Eagles like to do. Then the Eagles can allow their defensive line to focus more on penetrating and not stopping the run.

14. Seattle Seahawks: Trent Richardson RB Alabama
At first glance this pick may seem odd. But Marshawn Lynch is a free agent and despite his playoff performance against the Saints he hasn't really set the world on fire. Add in that Pete Carroll loves to run the ball and this should be a good fit. Richardson is a back that can do it all who would excel in the Seahawks zone blocking scheme.

15. San Diego Chargers: Alphonzo Dennard CB Nebraska
Offensive tackle and pass rusher are the two big needs for the Chargers, but with the top prospects off the board, the Chargers will have to look in another direction. Cornerback could be the spot they go. They've been looking for somebody opposite of Quinton Jammer for a while. Dennard showed this year that he is a shut down corner that can play in any scheme. He is very physical, who loves to jam receivers at the line but has the quickness and fluid hips to cover man to man.

16. Chicago Bears: Michael Floyd WR Notre Dame
With all the injuries the Bears had this year it really exposed how bad their receivers are. Jay Cutler really could use a big bodied receiver who can go up and get the ball and make plays. And with Mike Martz more than likely on his way out, the Bears would be more willing to get a big receiver. Floyd would give Cutler a true #1 receiver and allow Earl Bennett and Johnny Knox to fit into complementary roles.

17. Tennessee Titans: Peter Konz C Wisconsin
With all the money the Titans invested in Chris Johnson, they have to do everything they can to make him successful. A big part (other than his holdout) of the struggles was because the interior of the offensive line played so bad. So getting some help is very important. Peter Konz has been a huge reason that Wisconsin is one of the best running teams in college football and the Titans are hoping he can do the same for them.

18. Dallas Cowboys: Devon Still DT Penn State
Last year the Cowboys actually addressed a need in the first round and took OT Tyron Smith. Smith has played well and really helped the offensive out. With that success the Cowboys will look to continue the trend but focus on the defensive line. The DE spot in their 3-4 has been a weak spot for them. Devon Still has been a force for Penn State and should transition well to the 3-4. He has impressive size and strength. But what makes Still a good fit is that he plays with great leverage and play two gaps and still make an impact.

19. New York Jets: Melvin Ingram DE South Carolina
The Jets pass rush this year has not been very good and they've even had to sign Aaron Maybin to try and get some production. So the Jets will be looking to get some much needed help. Melvin Ingram has always been a good defensive end, but a monster start to the season really opened everybody's eyes to the type of player he is. Ingram plays fast and uses his athleticism to make QBs lives a lot harder. He should be able to move to the OLB spot in the 3-4 and play from a stand up position.

20. Cincinnati Bengals (From Oakland): Janoris Jenkins CB North Alabama
By letting Jonathan Joseph walk in free agency it really exposed the lack of depth they had at CB and then Leon Hall got hurt too. So it looks like the Bengals will be addressing the positon and will look to get another good corner to pair up with Hall when he gets healthy. If Jenkins would have stayed away from the "wacky tabacky" he would probably still be at Florida and could be the 2nd CB taken this year. But instead he got kicked off the team and had to go to North Alabama. That would normally scare some teams away, but we all know that the Bengals look past this stuff.

21. Denver Broncos: Kendall Wright WR Baylor
It actually looks like the Broncos are going to go into next season with Tim Tebow as their starter and they'll look to build the team to suit his skills. Kendall Wright could be one of those players. The Broncos receivers are all big physical guys, but Tim Tebow could really use a guy like Wright who is an explosive athlete who can give him a deep threat, catch a short pass and take it to the house, or even take a fly sweep hand off.

22. Cleveland Browns (From Atlanta): Alshon Jeffery WR South Carolina
Alshon Jeffery was once considered to be the top WR in this draft and now is in the teens. But if he can show that he has elite speed and can seperate from defenders he could rise right back up the board. But the Browns would love to get his skills. I have them taking RG3 with their first pick and here Jeffery would give Griffin a big receiver that he can trust to go up and get balls, especially the deep ball.

23. Cincinnati Bengals: Chris Polk RB Washington
I've always been a big fan of Chris Polk and with his performance in the Alamo Bowl he is going to turn a lot of heads. Polk is a physical runner who still has the speed to break off the long run. The Bengals love to run the ball and will be looking to find a replacement for Cedric Bensen who has lost a step or two. And the Bengals love that power running game which Polk is so good at.

24. Detroit Lions: Mike Adams OT Ohio State
How long can the Lions ignore the offensive line? Even though they are in the playoffs they won't last long because they can't run the ball. They could use an upgrade at both tackle positions and at guard. They could still go BPA and that could still be Mike Adams. Adams really showed how good his is when he was out and the Buckeyes struggled. Adams can come in and at worst take over at RT and move Gosder Cherilus inside to guard. But if he shows good quick feet he could take over at LT and give Matt Stafford a true blindside protector.

25. New York Giants: Vontaze Burfict LB Arizona State
Burfict was once considered to be a top 10 caliber player, but some anger issues and poor play have really shot his stock on a free fall. But he just has too much talent and potential. Burfict really fits in well with the Giants Cover 2 scheme because he has such great athleticism and can play in coverage. But Burfict's best strength is stuffing the run. Add in that the Giants have a strong willed HC and a veteran presence that can help him reach is potential.

26. Houston Texans: Brandon Thompson DT Clemson
Houston's defense has really improve this year with the switch to the 3-4 and the addition of Wade Phillips. However they still need to add more pieces to the team to make the defense a lot better and deeper. Thompson has been a big reason that the Tigers are in the Orange Bowl and has been a force on the interior. He'd be a good fit in Wade Phillips 3-4 at the NT spot because Phillips likes smaller quick guys at NT much like he had with Jay Ratliff in Dallas. Thompson would be an upgrade over Shuan Cody and Earl Mitchell.

27. Pittsburgh Steelers: Keleche Osemele OT Iowa State
The Steelers have continued to have success on offensive despite having some major holes along their offensive line. They took Maurkice Pouncey two years ago and he has been a force ever since. However they need to continue to add pieces. A good player for them to go after would be Keleche Osemele. Osemele plays LT for Iowa State but would be an excellent G or RT for the Steelers. His versatility could allow him to see the field immediately and help out a unit that needs it.

28. San Francisco 49ers: Barrett Jones OT Alabama
Jim Harbaugh has done wonders for the 49ers, but a lot of their success is due to an very good defense. The 49ers have run the ball good, but have struggled at RG and RT and that has limited their offense. Barrett Jones has been the best offensive lineman for Alabama and allowed Trent Richardson to dominate running the ball. Jones is a physical blocker who should be able to come in at RG or even RT and help Harbaugh get the physical run game that he had while at Stanford.

29. Baltimore Ravens: Dont'a Hightower LB Alabama
Rey Lewis isn't going to be around forever. Heck they still need help next to him. They need somebody that is a versatile linebacker who can stop the run and patrol the middle of the field. That is really the type of player Hightower is. He is very good against the run and two years removed from his knee surgery has regained his explosiveness. Add in his ability to blitz and he should fit in well with this Ravens D.

30. New England Patriots (From New Orleans): Mark Barron S Alabama
When you cut your two starting safeties right before the season, you know that you are going to struggle. They even had to start a street free agent. Mark Barron could go a lot higher, but the Patriots would love to see him here. Barron is a great leader and a playmaker in the secondary. He could play either S spot, but is better suited for the SS spot. But luckily the Pats need both.

31. New England Patriots: Fletcher Cox DT Mississippi State
New England played more 4-3 at the beginning of the season, but they slowly moved back to the 3-4 as the season progressed. A big reason they switched to the 3-4 was they didn't have the pieces at DE. So look for them to add young lineman that fit their scheme. Fletcher Cox has the size you want out of a 5 tech and has the strength to play in a 2 gap system.


32. Green Bay Packers: Nick Perry DE USC
Clay Matthews is a stud. Opposite of him is Eric Walden. Not even close to the impact. Plus Walden has a domestic battery charge hanging over his head. He'll more than likely have to miss some time next year. But even with him they need more help. Nick Perry has really impressed this season and a lot of that is because he's been healthy. Perry has great quickness and speed and that should allow him to play a rush linebacker in a 3-4. But if he blows up at the combine (much like a lot of USC players) he could go a lot higher.

Mock Draft (3rd Edition)

It's a forgone conclusion that Luck will be the pick here. The real question is what they do with Peyton Manning. They should think about keeping him and allowing Luck to learn behind him. Even though Luck is ready, he could be even better with some time behind Manning.

2. Minnesota Vikings: Matt Kalil OT USC
The Vikings are looking to be in a good spot. Either Kalil or Blackmon would be great additions. However Kalil is their main target. Charlie Johnson is their current LT, but he isn't starting material. Kalil would be an ideal blindside protector for QB Christian Ponder.

3. St. Louis Rams: Justin Blackmon WR Oklahoma State
Even with the addition of Brandon Lloyd, the Rams still need help at WR. Blackmon is an elite WR and is on the same level as AJ Green was last year. He'll give Sam Bradford a true #1 receiver he has lacked. Don't be surprised if St. Louis passed on Blackmon for Claiborne. They could really need some defensive help.

4. Washington Redskins: Matt Barkley QB USC
The Redskins would love to get Andrew Luck, but Matt Barkley is not a bad consolation prize the latest. Barkley isn't too far behind Luck and fits the type of QB Shannahan likes.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Morris Claiborne CB LSU
Justin Blackmon would be the like hitting the lottery, however getting Claiborne would really help out a poor secondary. Claibrone is another in the long line of elite cornerbacks that have come out lately and he could step in and complete with Mathies and Cox for playing time.

6. Carolina Panthers: Quinton Coples DE North Carolina
Carolina's offense seems to be on track, but they could really use some help on the defensive side. They'd love to get Morris Claibrone but he's gone and Dre Kirkpatrick isn't worthy of a top 6 selection. That leaves them with Coples who is BPA. Coples can compete with Greg Hardy for a starting spot.

7. Miami Dolphins: Robert Griffin QB Baylor
Miami has shown this year that they can win games when they have consistent QB play. However you cannot trust Matt Moore to be your future. Luckily they have a shot at Heisman winning Robert Griffin. Griffin has proven this year that he has the skills to be a NFL QB, but he is still a little raw. He would really benefit from a year or maybe two on the bench. This could allow Matt Moore and Chad Henne to compete for the starting gig while Griffin develops.

8. Cleveland Browns: Trent Richardson RB Alabama
The Browns have been a complete mess this year. Offensively they looked like they were poised for a break out year. However Colt McCoy struggled in his second season and Peyton Hillis had a myriad of issues. Hillis is a free agent and because of the drama that has circled around him he might not be back next year. Even if he is, with his running style they could use a quality backup. Trent Richardson is a dynamic do it all back that we haven't seen since Adrian Peterson. Richardson will be able to make an impact right away as the sole guy or in a RB tandem. This may be high for him, but not too many people would bat an eye at it.

9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Dre Kirkpatrick CB Alabama
I'm not a huge fan of Kirkpatrick going in the top 10, but he fits so well with Tampa that it shouldn't matter too much. Kirkpatrick has everything you would want for in a Cover 2 CB. He has great size and strength and loves to play physical. That should help because Cover 2 CBs are asked to jam at the line, help out in run coverage and play in short zones. Kirkpatrick has the talent to thrive in this defense.

10. Philadelphia Eagles: Luke Keachley LB Boston College
Anybody that has watched the Eagles play this year knows that they have huge issues at linebacker. Jamar Chaney played well in the middle last year, but they would rather have him at the WLB spot. However they don't have anybody of quality inside. Luke Keachley would make an instant impact. Keachley is a tackling machine who has great instincts and the athleticism to play side line to side line.

11. Buffalo Bills: Courtney Upshaw LB Alabama
Buffalo when healthy played pretty well this year. However a big area of need is their pass rush. And they really don't have any quality pass rushers on their roster at the OLB spot. What makes matters worse is that this draft class isn't deep at the rush linebacker spot. That could cause the Bills to reach here (but not by much) on Upshaw who the best player at the position. And let's not forget. The Bills love to reach when they like a guy.

12. Kansas City Chiefs: Riley Reiff OT Iowa
Kansas City fans might be mad at me for not putting a QB here, but when Cassell has had time and not had his weapons injuried, he has played well. But with Jones' stock sliding, I see him returning to Oklahoma and coming out next draft where he won't have to deal with Luck and Barkley. Here I see the Chiefs looking to improve at another area of need. Offensive line. Brandon Albert is better suited to play G or RT. Taking Reiff here would allow them to move Albert and improve the overall line.

13. Arizona Cardinals: Jonathan Martin OT Stanford
Martin is a good fit for the Cardinals for two reason. First they need a new tackles badly. Both are ineffective and need to be replaced. 2nd, HC Ken Wisenhunt wants to establish a power running attack. Martin is an excellent run blocker and would open up holes for Chris Wells and Ryan Williams.

14. Seattle Seahawks: Whitney Mercilus DE Illinois
QB is the huge position of need for the Seahawks, but as long as they keep winning they'll either have to take a 2nd tier guy in the 2nd or 3rd round, or go after backups like Matt Flynn or Brian Hoyer. At #14 I don't see a lot for the Seahawks to go after. Dennard could be an option but they've had guys step up and look to be solid there. Devon Still could be an option, but they just gave a bunch of money to Mebane. They need some help at DE to provide a pass rush and Mercilus can do that.

15. San Diego Chargers: Michael Floyd WR Notre Dame
San Diego would love to get a OLB to rush the QB, but with Mercilus and Upshaw gone they'll have to wait. Instead the Chargers can look to improve their receiving core that could lose Vincent Jackson, but isn't the deepest anyways. Floyd has shot up the boards and even surpassed Jeffery.

16. Dallas Cowboys: Devon Still DT Penn State
Last year instead of going with the flashy big name player, the Cowboys actually filled a need in the first round and took OT Tyron Smith. That payed off and Smith looks to be a fixture. Now they could do the same thing, but this time along the defensive line. Not only is Still the top DT in the draft, but he is also the top 3-4 DE too. Dallas could really use some help at DE and Still has the size for the position and does a great job of playing 2 gaps and still being able to make plays.
17. Tennessee Titans: David DeCastro G Stanford
I've mocked Alshon Jeffery to the Titans for a long time. And I wouldn't be surprised if they still went that route, but with emergence of Damion Williams, it isn't as big of a need. They can now focus on improving the interior of their offensive line to help out RB Chris Johnson. David DeCasro is the top G in the draft and very worthy of this selection. He is an excellent run blocker and should start day 1.

18. Cincinnati Bengals: Alphonzo Dennard CB Nebraska
The Bengals have enjoyed a good season and adding two first round picks could make 2012 even better. After just missing out on David DeCastro they look to improve the defense. Losing Leon Hall to injury and Jonathan Joseph to FA left them thin here. But luckily Alphonzo Dennard is available. With this continued strong play, Dennard has risen his stock and is a top 20 prospect. He can play in any scheme and is as good in man as he is in zone.

19. Chicago Bears: Alshon Jeffery WR South Carolina
It looks like Mike Martz will no longer be in Chicago next year. That means a lot to the Bears, but the biggest change will be at WR. The Bears have been in need of a big physical WR who could go up and get jump balls. But in Martz's scheme, those receivers didn't fit. With him out they can go take Jeffery here and give Jay Cutler a reliable player he can throw the ball up to and know that they can get. Similar to what he had with Brandon Marshall.

20. Cincinnati Bengals (From Oakland): Lamar Miller RB Miami
After addressing the CB spot, the Bengals can look towards running back here. Cedric Bensen doesn't look to be back and even if he does, they have to upgrade. Lamar Miller is the 2nd best RB in this draft and the only other back worth a 1st round pick. He'll add some explosion to the position they didn't have with Bensen.

21. Cleveland Browns (From Atlanta): Zach Brown LB North Carolina
Because of the Julio Jones trade, the Browns get a 2nd 1st round pick and look to fix their terrible 2011 season. On defense the Browns are still transitioning from the 3-4 and need parts at OLB. Zach Brown is a great athlete at uses his speed and quickness well at the WLB spot.

22. New York Jets: Cordy Glenn OT Georgia
For a team that wants to pound the rock, they've had some issues blocking. Injuries have been part of the problem, but the other is holes at G and RT. Cordy Glenn plays LT for Georgia, but he is better suited to be a G. He is a good pass blocker and an improved run blocker. He could come in at RG and start, or they could have him at RT where he could have success too.

23. Detroit Lions: Mike Adams OT Ohio State
Detroit for a while has ignored their offensive line and took BPA. However that could come to an end here. Not only is Adams considered to be on of the best players available, he also fits a huge need. Best case scenario is that Adams shows the quickness and footwork to be a LT. If that doesn't work he could take over at RT and move Cherilus inside to guard.

24. Houston Texans: Peter Konz C Wisconsin
Houston has one of the best centers in the league this year. Chris Meyers is playing at an elite level. However he is a FA at the end of the season. And with all the money they spent last year and the money they'll need to resign other top players, they could lose him. Even if they resign Meyers, they could really use some help at G and Konz could easily slide over and still play at a high level.

25. New York Giants: Vontaze Burfict LB Arizona State
MLB has been a soar spot ever since Antonio Pierce left. They've tried with late round picks and free agents, but they'll need to invest in a top tier draft pick. Burfict was once considered a top 10 pick but he hasn't shown that same potential this year. However he'd still be a bargain for the Giants here and be a good fit in their Cover 2 scheme.

26. Denver Broncos: Brandon Thompson DT Clemson
Tim Tebow gets a majority of the praise for the Broncos winning streak, but the defense deserves just as much attention. However they could still use some more pieces to help them continue their conversion to the 4-3. One of the areas of need is at DT. Thompson has enjoyed a good season at Clemson and his play has elevated his stock.

27. Baltimore Ravens: Dont'a Hightower LB Alabama
Rey Lewis isn't going to be around forever. They do need to look to find his eventual replacement. Dont'a Hightower is a good player to consider. He is a good athlete that can do a lot of different things really well. Add in his experience in the 3-4 and playing under Saban and he is a great addition.

28. San Francisco 49ers: Keleche Osemele OT Iowa State
Jim Harbaugh has done wonders in his first year as HC, but they still have a lot of work to do. Especially along the offensive line. G and RT are big areas of need. Harbaugh wants a strong run powered attack and Osemele fits that bill. Osemele played LT at Iowa State but is a much better fit at RT or G. He could start right away.

29. New England Patriots (From New Orleans): Mark Barron S Alabama
Yet another year with New England having multiple picks. Look for them to address a defense that was like a piece of gum on a leak. They cut both starting safeties before the season and had issues all the way through. With that said, it wouldn't be a bad idea to grab Mark Barron here. He is the top safety in the draft and even though he projects better at the SS spot, he can play some FS too.

30. New England Patriots: Melvin Ingram DE South Carolina
Not only was their safety play bad, but the only pass rusher they have was Kevin Carter. New England needs to get some pressure on the QB and this might be their chance to get someone. Ingram emerged this year as a feared pass rusher and his position flexability would fit well with the Patriots who love to run a 4-3/3-4 hybrid.

31. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jerel Worthy DT Michigan State
Offensive line is the biggest need but all the guys that would normally fit here have been taken. This could mean they look to add to their defense live and gain some depth and possibly an eventual replacement for Casey Hampton. Worthy started the season off slow, but he really emerged at the end and showed the dominant force people thought he'd be.

32. Green Bay Packers: Ronnell Lewis LB Oklahoma
Even before Eric Walden got into a domestic disturbance, the Packers really needed some help at OLB opposite of Clay Matthews. Ronnell Lewis plays in the 4-3 at Oklahoma but his skill set and ability to rush the passer really translate well to the Packers defense that loves to play multiple linebackers.

NFL Power Rankings (Week 7)

1. Green Bay Packers (7-0) LW 1

The Packers are lucky their offense is so good, because their defense is not playing at the same level as they did last year.

2. New England Patriots (5-1) LW 3

New England bye gives them an extra week to prepare for a Steeler team that has been playing much better lately.

3. San Francisco 49ers (5-1) LW 4

The bye week gave the 49ers an extra chance to refocus after their big victory over Detroit. Never thought I'd say that.

4. Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2) LW 7

Pittsburgh exploited the poor Cardinals secondary in route to an easy win. Mike Wallace is also showing that he is one of the most dynamic WRs in the game right now.

5. New Orleans Saints (5-2) LW 8
Can you even take anything away from their beat down of the Colts? But at least their confidence is high after putting up 62 points.

6. Detroit Lions (5-2) LW 5

After all this talk about the Lions and their impressive 5-0 start and the match up against the Packers on Thanksgiving Day. Now they have to focus on snapping a 2 game losing streak. Finding a running game would probably help.

7. San Diego Chargers (4-2) LW 6
San Diego can just not win on the East coast. What hurts the most is that the Chargers had the opportunity to run away with the division, but now are letting Oakland and even KC stick around.

8. Buffalo Bills (4-2) LW 10

If the Bills want to keep their early season success going they are going to have to keep forcing turnovers on defense. But that will be hard considering their pass rush took a big hit with Shawn Merriman now on IR.

9. Baltimore Ravens (4-2) LW 2
Baltimore had no answer for the Jaguars defense and ended up getting embarrassed on Monday Night Football. For a team that many thought could make the Super Bowl, they have to fix some issues.

10. New York Jets (4-3) LW 12

I don't care what anybody else says. This is a very flawed team. Even though they beat the Chargers on Sunday, they won't make the playoffs.

11. Cincinnati Bengals (4-2) LW 13
One of the early season success stories is the play of rookie Andy Dalton. He has made owner Mike Brown look like a smart man.

12. New York Giants (4-2) LW 14

Despite all the injuries they suffered at the beginning of the season, the Giants are leading the division. What makes this even better is the bye week has allowed some of their injured players a chance to start working their way back in.

13. Houston Texans (4-3) LW 15

Houston ended their two game losing streak with a big divisional victory. However injuries to key players are going to hurt this team in the long run.

14. Chicago Bears (4-3) LW 17
After the year that Matt Forte is having especially with this offensive line, you have to put him in consideration as one of the best RBs in the league.

15. Atlanta Falcons (4-3) LW 18
Go figure. The Falcons were able to run the ball effectively and they won. Now if they can build on that they could find themselves back in the playoffs.

16. Oakland Raiders (4-3) LW 9
The loss of Jason Campbell is huge. Hopefully Carson Palmer is able to get up to speed quick, because JP Lossman is awful. But it would also help if Darren McFadden was healthy.

17. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-3) LW 11
Tampa is just one of the most inconsistent teams in football now. One week they look like a wildcard team and then the other week they drop a game that they shouldn't.

18. Cleveland Browns (3-3) LW 21
A win is a win, no matter if you only score 6 points or 46. What is even more amazing is that the Browns were able to win without being in the red zone.

19. Tennessee Titans (3-3) LW 16
Maybe Chris Johnson's poor season will be a example for others who are thinking of holding out to get more money. But probably not.

20. Philadelphia Eagles (2-4) LW 19

The Eagles haven't had the start to the season they hoped for when they signed practically every free agent available. However the season is still young and they face off against inter division rival Dallas which could give the Eagles a chance to start working their way back up the division.

21. Washington Redskins (3-3) LW 20

We had to know that the Redskins were going to come back to reality at some point, didn't we? I mean they do have John Beck and Rex Grossman starting for them.

22. Dallas Cowboys (2-3) LW 22

If DeMarco Murray can stay healthy the Cowboys could really make a run. The running threat also helps keep the ball out of Tony Romo's hands and his poor decision making.

23. Carolina Panthers (2-5) LW 23

If the Panthers can keep running the ball like they did on Sunday, they are going to give teams fits all year long. This team isn't too far away from competing within the division.

24. Kansas City Chiefs (3-3) LW 28

Todd Haley went from possibly being one of the first coaches to be fired to having his team back into the race for the division. Too bad injuries aren't going to allow them to make it back to the playoffs.

25. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-5) LW 27

All it took was four FG and one heck of a defensive showing for the Jaguars to shock everybody and beat the Ravens on Monday Night Football. Now if their offense could only keep the momentum going, they could make a late run at a wide open division.

26. Denver Broncos (2-4) LW 29

Not only did Tim Tebow lead the Broncos come from behind victory. He created a new craze. "Tebowing" is now the new planking.

27. Seattle Seahawks (2-4) LW 26

Normally when you hold a team to only 6 points you think you'd win. But the Seahawks forgot that they have to score too. Having only 167 yards of total offense isn't very good either.

28. Minnesota Vikings (1-6) LW 25

Christian Ponder is showing some promise and he gave the Vikings some new life. However their offense is still only Adrian Peterson and the defense isn't much better.

29. Arizona Cardinals (1-5) LW 24

Can't blame Kevin Kolb for all their struggles, but his play isn't helping. They have a lot of holes that need to be fixed.

30. St. Louis Rams (0-5) LW 30

So much for the Rams being one of the up and coming teams. They look lost both offensively and defensively.

31. Indianapolis Colts (0-7) LW 31

Even though their defense is built to play from ahead, they have to make some major changes because their is no reason they should be giving up this many points. It's not Jim Caldwell's fault, but the team is going to make it hard for him to stay.

32. Miami Dolphins (0-6) LW 32

Just when we thought that the Dolphins could escape the cellar, Tim Tebow rescued the Broncos. But that's a good thing because now the Dolphins can continue to lead the "Suck for Luck" sweepstakes.

NFL Mock Draft (2nd Edition)

1. Kansas City Chiefs: Andrew Luck QB Stanford

Don't let their close loss to the Chargers fool you. The Chiefs are awful. Matt Cassell isn't a starting QB in the NFL. But on the bright side they do get Luck who with the pieces they have on offense they could be back to the playoffs in no time.

2. Indianapolis Colts: Matt Kalil OT USC

Thought might be to for them to get a QB here, but Peyton Manning will be around for at least 3 more years. So they need to protect him. Even though they draft Castanzo last year they won't hesitate to draft Kalil. Kalil at LT and Castanzo at RT is a much better line than they've had in a while.

3. Minnesota Vikings: Justin Blackmon WR Oklahoma State

Despite having Adrian Peterson and Percy Harvin the Vikings don't really have many weapons on offense. Adding a receiver like Justin Blackmon could do a lot for this team. Blackmon gives them a true #1 WR and that would allow Harvin to be moved around more which highlights his skills better.

4. Miami Dolphins: Matt Barkley QB USC

Hey the Dolphins finally get a QB not named Chad Henne. Barkley has impressed ever since he started as a true freshman. The Dolphins are hoping Barkley can help them utilize their weapons better than the inconsistent Henne has.

5. Seattle Seahawks: Landry Jones QB Oklahoma

Pete Carroll would love to get his hands on his former QB Matt Barkley, but he'll be pretty happy with Landry Jones. Jones is an accurate passer with a big arm. He'll be a good fit in the West Coast offense the Seahawks run.

6. Denver Broncos: Quinton Coples DE North Carolina

Elvis Dummervil might get traded and Robert Ayers is a 1st round bust. Not what you want out of your starting DEs. Coples has great size, speed, and atheltic ability and could remind John Fox of another former UNC DE.

7. Cincinnati Bengals: Jonathan Martin OT Stanford

Cincy has their QB of the future, now they have to protect him. Jonathan Martin is a big physical blocker who has done a great job of keeping Andrew Luck's backside clean. Add in that he is a good run blocker and that really fits into the Bengals offensive philosophy.

8. Jacksonville Jaguars: Alshon Jeffery WR South Carolina

The Blaine Gabbert era is now underway. If they want him to be more successful than David Garrard it would be wise to give him a true #1 WR. Jeffery might not have the speed to stretch the defense but he has great size and body control. He'll give Gabbert the reliable safety blanket to move the chains while Mike Thomas will be the vertical threat.

9. Carolina Panthers: Dre Kirkpatrick CB Alabama

I'd have to admit that I'm surprised that Cam Newton has been playing this good so fast. It would be nice to give him some more weapons, but with Jeffery gone there isn't a WR worth this pick. Instead look for them to add pieces to their defense. Here they can get Kirkpatrick to improve a secondary that has some holes in it.

10. Cleveland Browns: Manti Te'o LB Notre Dame

In their switch from the 3-4 to the 4-3 getting a MLB is vital. Manti Te'o has been a player that has had a lot of hype around him, and has lived up to it. He has good quickness and range which allows him to get from sideline to sideline. Lining up behind their two big tackles Te'o should thrive in Cleveland.

11. Arizona Cardinals: Courtney Upshaw LB Alabama

Arizona's pass rush from the LB spot is lacking. They would have taken Von Miller would have been their pick last year if he was available. This year they might get the chance they didn't have last year. Courtney Upshaw is one of the best defensive players in the draft. He can do it all. Stuff the run, drop into coverage, and rush the passer. Look for the Cardinals to use him in a similar role to how they used Karlos Danby.

12. St. Louis Rams: Jayron Hosley CB Virginia Tech

Here is another team that would love for a top tier WR to be available, but that isn't going to happen. They could reach for Michael Floyd but I don't see that happening. Instead look for them to go after a CB like Hosley that fits into the man coverage that the Rams like to play.

13. Washington Redskins: Vontaze Burfict LB Arizona State

Vontaze Burfict is a mean son of a gun. That helps him on the field, but it also can hurt him. Some teams might be scared off by this, but he'll be a good NFL MLB. Burfict gives the Redskins a play maker in the middle of their defense. His blitzing skills are also a plus in the 3-4.

14. San Franscico 49ers: Jared Crick DT Nebraska

The 49ers defense isn't bad. However there isn't much depth. Kentwan Balmer was drafted to be a starter at a DE spot, but was sent away when he went MIA. Crick can come in and rotate in with Justin Smith and Ray McDonald but it won't be long before he cracks the starting lineup. He has experience in a two gap system and uses his hands well. But he can also provide a pass rush with his great quickness.

15. Dallas Cowboys: Mike Brewster C Ohio State

This may seem like a huge reach to some, but I think this is a perfect spot. Brewster is a very talented center who can do it all and is a great leader to top it off. The Cowboys could go after him here because they need a new center bad. They cut their starting C before the year and their current one isn't showing that he deserves to be back.

16. Tennessee Titans: Michael Floyd WR Notre Dame

When Kenny Britt has been out of the lineup it shows that the Titans have nothing else. Getting another weapon for this offense will make everything easier for Hasselbeck or Locker and more importantly open things up for Chris Johnson. Add in that Floyd complements Britt and its a recipe for success.

17. New York Giants: Riley Reiff OT Iowa

They keep looking to return to the old ways of a power running team, but the biggest reason they haven't been there is their offensive line. Williams Beatty isn't a starting LT. Look for them to try and find somebody in the draft. Reiff is a talented tackle who would allow Beatty to move to either RT or the bench.

18. Cleveland Browns (From Atlanta): Devin Taylor DE South Carolina

Cleveland here continues to add pieces to their new 4-3 defense. They have Jabaal Sheard at one DE spot from last years draft. Devin Taylor is a huge specimen, but he'll give the Browns another threat from the edge and paired up with their huge DTs they could have a much improved defensive line.

19. Chicago Bears: Ryan Broyles WR Oklahoma

Everybody knows the Bears receivers are bad. They have a bunch of 3rd receivers. They need a #1 guy. But with Mike Martz as their OC they are going to be looking at guys that are good route runners. Broyles fits that and is a #1 caliber WR in the mold of Santonio Holmes. Lets just say Jay Cutler would be happy with this pick.

20. Oakland Raiders: Alphonzo Dennard CB Nebraska

Even thought they lost Nnamdi Asomugha their defense has still been good. However look don't be surprised to see them looking at CB in the draft. Dennard is a player that Al Davis will love. He is a tough physical player who will test well at the combine.

21. Philadelphia Eagles: Luke Keachly LB Boston College

Going into this season the Eagles where thought to be a runaway winner of the NFC because of all their talent they brought in. However some of the players haven't panned out yet and its taken longer to gel than they anticipated. But a big reason they have struggled on defense is because of their LBers which is so important to their scheme. Keachly is a pure football player and does everything well and his athletic ability fits well here.

22. San Diego Chargers: Donte Paige-Moss DE North Carolina

Shawn Merriman and Shuan Phillips were once the most feared pass rushing tandem in the league. However that isn't the case anymore with Merriman in Buffalo. Donte Paige-Moss hasn't had the season that man thought he'd have, but he still has a ton of talent and could really help make this defense even better.

23. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Morris Claiborne CB LSU

After a impressive season last year, the Bucs have picked up right where they left off. So they don't have many holes, but CB could be one of them though. Ronde Barber is nearing retirement and you never know when Aqib Talib is going to get arrested. So getting another CB wouldn't be a bad idea. Claiborne fits the Tampa 2 defense well. He has good size and is very physical which are needed.

24. Houston Texans: Nate Potter OT Boise State

The Texans are a team on the rise, a despite their strong running game last year they are still razor thin along the line and at LT where Duane Brown isn't elite by any means. Nate Potter is a talented LT who has great speed and athleticism which is perfect for the ZBS they run.

25. New York Jets: Vinny Curry DE Marshall

They are known for having one of the best defenses in the NFL, but they really don't have much for a pass rush. They've tried to get players but none have really worked out. They've even brought back Aaron Maybin who they cut earlier. Curry is a pass rusher with a lot of talent and has still produced despite being schemed against every week.

26. Buffalo Bills: Trent Richardson RB Alabama

This may seem like a weird pick, but it make sense. Chan Gailey loves new toys on offense and Richardson is a great talent. Fred Jackson has a had a good season, but they could use another back to split the carries with him. This would also allow them to use CJ Spiller more in the passing game and the return game.

27. Detroit Lions: Keleche Osemele T Iowa State

I'm not too surprised that the Lions have had so much success so far. They have done a great job in the draft and their free agents they've brought in have worked too. Look for them to continue to add talent to this roster. Keleche Osemele is a talented tackle, but would thrive at G or RT.

28. Pittsburgh Steelers: Alameda Ta'amu NT Washington

Ta'amu has had a great season so far and has shown that he is worthy of a late 1st round pick. His ability to stuff the run and take on blockers would be a good fit at the NT spot. Casey Hampton is a very good NT but he is in his mid 30's and at that age you have to assume he is near the end of his career.

29. New England Patriots: Zach Brown LB North Carolina

Well one of the teams whose success in the 3-4 had a lot of teams switch, has moved to the 4-3. With this switch the Patriots could use some more players that fit that scheme. Zach Brown has good range and is good in space. He'd be a good fit at the WLB spot.

30. New England Patriots (From New Orleans): Mark Barron S Alabama

Before the season started the the Pats cut their two starting safeties. And besides Patrick Chung the replacements haven't really produced. So don't be surprised to see them look at bringing somebody in to help out. Mark Barron is a player that fits in well. He can play both safety spots and his leadership is also a plus.

31. Baltimore Ravens: Kheeston Randall DT Texas

The DE spot opposite of Ngata has always been a revolving door. Investing a high pick in a DE could really pay off. Randall is a versatile defensive lineman who has the bulk of a DT but the athletic ability of a DE. Which comes in handy in the 3-4.

32. Green Bay Packers: Dont'a Hightower LB Alabama

Dont'a Hightower is a player that I believe would be perfect in the Packers defense. The Packers defense is so reliant on linebackers that can do multiple things. Hightower has shown that he can play the ILB spot in the Tide's 3-4 but he can also slide to the outside and rush the passer on third downs.
